Why Co-Innovation?
Because Real Change Happens When Diverse Voices Build Together
We don’t consult; we co-create.
Traditional policy and program design often leaves out the very people it aims to serve. At NFI, we believe innovation thrives when it’s collaborative, grounded in local realities, and driven by evidence.
That’s why we use co-innovation: a model that brings together community members, public officials, system actors, and technical experts as equal partners to reimagine how nutrition services can be designed, delivered, and scaled.
From community members to policy-makers, every voice has a role in shaping nutrition-smart futures.
Why Nutrition
Futures?
Nutrition challenges don’t respect borders. Social protection programs are powerful tools to improve diets and nutrition outcomes, but only if they’re designed with evidence, tested in context, and adapted across countries.
The Nutrition Futures Initiative exists to make that possible. We connect policymakers, practitioners, and innovators across the Global South to share knowledge, co-create solutions, and scale what works.
OUR VALUES
The principles that drive us→

Creativity
We encourage bold, out-of-the-box thinking, and explore uncharted ideas with the power to transform lives.

Collaboration
We don't work in siloes, we co-create, embracing the idea that working together leads to deeper impact.

Inclusion
We value all voices. Whether you're a top policymaker or a local farmer, you have a stake in key decisions.

Empathy
We use human-centered design (HCD) to ensure that the needs and experiences of real people guide every solution.

Synergy
We work within and around existing systems. By aligning with what already works, we unlock scalable, sustainable change.
